A mid-term evaluation assesses the performance of an ongoing programme. The final product of the evaluation is generally a set of recommendations for the next phase, based on the performance thus far, focusing on issues of design, implementation and management that need to be addressed, and on initiatives that demonstrate potential for success and that should be reinforced.
