Qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the pilot MEND and RISE Cash Transfer Programmes in Saint Kitts and Nevis

The UNICEF Office for the Eastern Caribbean Area asked Plan Eval to evaluate the impact of the two pilot programmes, draw lessons from their implementation and provide the necessary information for a potential scale-up. The research team ran a survey with beneficiary families and conducted semi-structured interviews and focus groups with government officials, programme staff, beneficiary women, children and youth. A Cost-Benefit analysis was also conducted to assess the financial viability of a scale-up of the two programmes.
