Household interviews with potential beneficiaries of the national program to support rainwater harvesting and other social technologies increasing access to water - Programa Cisternas
Plan Evaluation performed the data collection for the first impact measurement using an experimental method carried out by the Ministry of Social Development in Brazil with World Bank support. The survey research team visited isolated rural communities in nine Brazilian states, on several simultaneous work fronts. Eligible families were screened and remote questionnaires were distributed via tablets using Survey Solutions in a randomized multi-stage sample of 2.933 families. Data will be used to evaluate the impact of water collection devices.
