Evaluation and Improvement of Social Protection in the State of São Paulo


In order to target social protection to families living in poverty, the São Paulo Department of Social Development commissioned Plan with the development of a Multidimensional Index aimed at identifying the causes of poverty in specific territories and allowing customized service delivery in education, housing, work and social services. The index was discussed extensively with experts and the project team. Project monitoring was then migrated to a transaction-based system with 3 million+ records, indicator dashboards and a BI interface.
