Impact Evaluation of the International Technical Cooperation Project: "Support to the Development of the Cotton Sector of the C-4 Countries (Mali, Benin, Burkina Faso and Chad) - Cotton-4 Project".


The evaluation of the Cotton-4 project helped to increase competitiveness of the cotton value chain in African partner countries. The work took place between 2014 and 2015 and involved a thorough desk review, followed by fieldwork. The team carried out 109 semi-structured interviews with researchers, extensionists and farmers in four countries, as well as participatory observation. In addition to DAC-5 criteria, the report evaluated project performance in terms of South-South cooperation principles.
