Development of a Monitoring System for projects funded by the Brazilian Cotton Institute


Plan Eval developed a system to monitor agricultural and environmental development projects supported by the Brazilian Cotton Institute (IBA). The Institute was created to manage funds flowing from the USA to Brazil as compensation for subsidies given to cotton producers in that country, ruled unfair by the WTO. Plan Eval delivered a participatory theory of change and progress indicators for results-based management of the entire project portfolio, after holding rounds of discussion with IBA managers, experts and producers associations.
