Quantitative and qualitative evaluation of the Early Childhood Education Centers funded by the Proares - II project.
This innovative work measured the impact of Early Childhood Centers implemented with the support of the IDB on the school performance of children from disadvantaged families 5 years later. It also evaluated the schools' facilities and management quality using the ECERS scale, complemented by perceptions of teachers, managers and parents. The cognitive and emotional development of children was analyzed through observation of interactions and responses to storytelling. Plan's experience in this evaluation was published in book format in 2018.
