Evaluation of the Gatópolis Application, teaching children between 5 and 7 years old to read.


The Gatópolis application is a literacy support software developed by the Lemann Foundation. For this evaluation, Plan interviewed developers and visited 13 schools that use the application on tablets distributed to children. Twenty-five semi-structured interviews were conducted with teachers and pedagogical coordinators and 13 focus groups with children in three school districts. The evaluation helped the Foundation decide on project continuity and make product improvements.
