The EU-sponsored Children on the Move initiative aims to strengthen child protection systems and provide alternatives to immigration detention. For this evaluation, Plan Eval carried out fieldwork in El Salvador, Mexico, South Africa, and Zambia, including interviews with key stakeholders, and focus group discussions. The team also performed a desk-review and short online/phone survey with project stakeholders regarding cross- and inter-regional learning and exchanges of good practices and inter-government peer learning initiatives.
