The project aims to strengthen child protection systems and provide alternatives to immigration detention. In this context, Plan is conducting fieldwork in in El Salvador, Mexico, South Africa, and Zambia, including interviews with key stakeholders, focus group discussions. We are also doing a desk-review and short online/phone survey with project stakeholders regarding cross- and inter-regional learning and exchanges of good practices and inter-government peer learning initiatives.
