The government of Ceará state entrusted Plan Eval with developing the indicators for the social and environmental assessment of the São José III project – 2nd phase, which supports sustainable family agriculture in Northeastern Brazil. For this consultancy, Plan Eval did an in-depth desk review, conducted exploratory interviews with relevant stakeholders, and carried out participant observation of beneficiaries. The programme now has the means to monitor implementing partners and evaluate outcomes.
