The purpose of this assignment was to inform UNICEF about current practices and programs designed to combat armed violence in urban contexts with a particular interest in policies that take children and adolescents into account. With this objective in mind, the research team conducted an initial desk review and conducted a set of semi-structured interviews with selected stakeholders. The team also conducted an analytic review and systematization of policies and programs, resulting in a report and an advocacy paper.
