The Refresher Course (CRAN) programme is part of the launch of a new model of access through a national action plan for children who have dropped out of primary school and wish to return to school in Madagascar. This evaluation is both summative and formative, serving accountability and learning purposes. In this context, we applied contribution analysis and a participatory approach, including desk reviews, interviews with key stakeholders, and cause and effect analysis with case studies.
