Qualitative Assessment of the Gender-disaggregated Impacts of Street Lighting in Brazil
In this study, we used mixed methods to build a baseline that aimed to subsidize the planned public lighting interventions. The analysis explored the potential impacts on citizens' perceptions of security and behavior, especially women. In addition to the desk review and bibliographic analysis, 21 interviews were conducted with representatives from the cities of Aracaju and Feira de Santana, and a survey of 602 residents of these locations.
